JAM (2005) Enterprises offers professional and certified affordable short- (2-9 days)  and long-term (91-365 days) radon gas detection, measurement and analysis services as well as supplying the Accustar AT-100 long-term radon test kit and the ST E-Perm detector for the DIY market.

 

The AT-100 kits are rated NUMBER ONE in North America by Consumer Reports and are popular Long-Term test kits used by both professional and consumers in North America.  If you order through the web site please send me an email that you ordered so I can confirm your order.  HST is extra. The cost includes lab analysis, detailed instructions, report; shipping to the lab in Massachusetts is NOT included. Canada Post charges approximately $12-15 CDN. (As with most Internet products, shipping to you is extra if needed and at cost (approximately $15.00 - $17.00 CDN) (The higher shipping is because Canada Post charges extra for small town - one post office delivery. ) All shipping is at my Venture One discounted rate and includes Canada Post base rate + fuel surcharge + HST.) Canada Post shipping rates have significantly increased lately. PLEASE INCLUDE YOUR ADDRESS for shipping purposes.

Long-Term (LT) Detectors

Short-Term (ST) Detectors
 

The E-Perm ST detectors are the same ones used in professional testing at your home. We are now offering them on a Right-to-Use rental basis where the detector is loaned to the customer for the measurement period (4-9 days) and is then returned to us, within a week, for analysis and report.

For short-term measurements, closed house conditions must be maintained.

  • doors are opened briefly only for entry and exit

  •  windows are kept closed 

  • wood burning fireplaces are not used unless primary source of heat

  • dryers, bathroom fans, range hood fans should be used minimally

  • air conditioners, HRV systems may continue to operate

Please note that the customer is responsible for the detector and is liable for the cost ($120) if the detector is damaged , lost or not returned within a 2 week period post test. The customer must fill in and include the data sheet (name, address, phone number, email, activation time and date, deactivation (end of test) time and date, and closed house conditions acknowledgement) when the detector is returned.  The cost of returning the detector to us  is NOT INLCUDED IN THE PRICE and must be borne by the customer. Please keep the box the detector came in to send it back using the supplied mailing label. Canada Post cost  is approximately $15-17.
